Headed South!

We are happy to be headed South. It keeps getting warmer as we go...YAY! We left yesterday about 9 am from Trier's where I dropped off the Explorer. She is getting a makeover there: oil change, tire rotate, clean & detail and body work needed from my encounter with the tree earlier in the winter. Rick watched the weather and decided we should leave a day early to avoid the snowstorm in the mid-South. Good choice. Today's weather report for Nashville was 100% chance of snow!

These two days have been pretty quiet with the dogs sleeping in the truck except when we slow down for a stop. Today they resisted being lifted back into the truck to go again. Last night we stayed in Nashville at the KOA where we stayed last year. We were pretty tired and hungry by the time we stopped so we quickly made some beef and noodles with 'fake' mashed potatoes. We didn't care; it was pretty good anyway. The temperature in TN was in the mid-forties when we got there, which was still better than the 12 degrees when we left Indiana. We watched the thermometer rise today as we went through Georgia and it was 66 when we got to the campground tonight. (Lake Park GA, just north of the Florida line.)

We were glad that Grandma Creech got moved into her new apartment before we left. So far it seems like a good thing. I'm sure there are things that she likes better and some things not as much. Overall I think we all feel she is in a safer place. We are so happy that she could move in early. Otherwise she wasn't going to come to Florida with us!

Tomorrow we have a short day. Since we left a day early we have a day to kill before we can check in at Disney World. We are heading to St. Augustine at my request. I've always wanted to go there but we've never had the time. We only have a couple hours travel time so we will take our time getting there tomorrow. I'll give you the full report! G'night all!
